SHORT ANSWER
This policy explains what personal data passes through CMDB Alternatives Compare and what we do with it. The short version: very little, and only what the site needs to work and to answer you.
1. Who is responsible
CMDB Alternatives Compare ("we") publishes the site at cmdbalternativescompare.com and is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us only through the contact page.
2. What we collect
- Contact form. When you send a message we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. If you send a copyright notice, we also receive the description of the work, the URL of the material, your two statements and your electronic signature. A hidden spam-trap field is sent too; real visitors leave it empty.
- Technical data held by our host. The hosting provider records your IP address, browser details, the pages you request and the time of each request. These logs exist for security and to keep the site running.
- Browser storage. The site does not write to cookies, localStorage or sessionStorage. The ranking, comparison and calculator pages work without storing anything in your browser.
- Google Fonts. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. When the fonts load, your IP address and browser details reach Google.
3. What we do not do
There are no user accounts, no payments, no comments and no analytics or advertising scripts. You can read every page and use the tools without giving us any personal data.
4. Legal bases
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR we rely on our legitimate interests to run and secure the site and to answer messages you send us. Where the law requires consent, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.
5. Who receives the data
Hosting and infrastructure providers acting on our behalf; the provider that delivers contact form messages, once one is configured; and authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Israel, where we are based, has an adequacy decision from the European Commission.
7. How long we keep it
We keep contact messages as long as we need them to handle your request, then delete them. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by the host.
8. Your rights
EU and UK. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection and portability, withdraw consent, and complain to a supervisory authority.
California (CCPA/CPRA). You can ask to know and to delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing, which we do not do. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Israel. You have the rights given by the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, including to review and correct information held about you.
To make a request, use the contact form with the topic "Privacy request".
9. Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes to this policy
If what the site does with data changes, we update this page and the date at the top.
